Inside Out
After getting into the slot, it's time to contact the ball. Bring the racket to the ball by lifting your hitting arm and letting the tip of the racket go inside out. The inside out motion will get you momentum into impact and will let the racket head "catch up" to the lifting hitting arm.

On contact, the shoulder, hand and racket are all a unit that will lift and drive the ball together.

Take note of Acasuso's contact point. It is in front of his front foot and around waist level.

Finally, note how Acasuso's wrist remains in the "little L" position as he goes inside out.
